Applications are now open for Dublin City Public Art Programme 2021-2026

Dublin City Council announced details of the second Dublin City Public Art Programme which will run for five years from 2021 – 2026. Over that time, a number of new artworks, both temporary and permanent, will be commissioned for the city. Today DCC invited artists from across all artforms to submit applications to be part of this exciting programme.

Public Art is diverse and all around us, from physical artworks / statues, to once-off performance pieces, theatre, music, dance, visual art, photography and much more. This programme is designed to encourage artists to imagine new work, viewing Dublin City as a canvas, an art gallery or a stage.

The programme has three separate commissioning strands PUBLIC + ART + CITY. At its heart is a commitment to celebrating art and supporting artists, as well as embracing consultation and engagement with communities across the city.
