Be careful! Yellow thunderstorm warning for Leinster, Cavan, Donegal and Monaghan on Saturday

A status yellow thunderstorm warning has been issued for Leinster, Cavan, Donegal and Monaghan over the weekend by Met Eireann. The warning will be in place on Saturday, August 21 from noon to 8 pm. Heavy showers and thunderstorm are expected and spot flooding may pose risk.

There will be raining in the northeast parts of Ireland and scattered showers elsewhere. The evening will see thunderstorms too. People in Ulster and Leinster are particularly warned about spot flooding. The maximum temperature will be 17 to 20 degrees.

Another thunderstorm warning will be in place for Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry from noon to 10 pm on Saturday. People have to take extra care while driving through wet and flooded roads.
