VIRGIN Media star Martin King’s wife Jenny McCarthy has revealed her brain tumour has returned.The photographer had a recent scan which showed the tumour was growing once again.It comes after she beat the disease back in the year 2011 after surgery to remove the tumour.
However Jenny has now opened up on the new discovery, and said that she had further surgery scheduled for early February. Though Jenny assured fans and friends that it is not malignant but she will be getting surgery to have it removed.
She said: “Hello Everyone. So, I have some news… not the best news but not the worst news either.
“Some of you may already know that I had a brain tumour removed successfully in 2011 by an incredible person, Professor Ciarán Bolcer at Beaumont Hospital.
“Unfortunately, after a recent brain scan, it seems there is new activity. This means there is some ‘swollen tissue’ which is probably the tumour growing back. Good news is it’s not malignant and Professor Bolger will need to carry out some brain surgery to remove it.”
Jenny says that post surgery will take her six weeks to recover and she’ll be taking a step back from work to do so.
She explained: “Ciaran has assured me that after surgery I will need six weeks off but after that I’ll be back doing what I love which is documenting weddings, newborn baby and portrait shoots and of course bringing out more incredible wedding and baby products.
