Tragic death for a boy as he fell into the cliffs while camping at Cork

A boy who fell into the inlet in the cliffs dead at West Cork while in a camping trip with his friends. They were a group of 12 camping at the cliffs near Garretstown. The guy, Conor King, was a third year student at the Munster Technological University.

Volunteers from the coast guard unit and divers found out Mr King from the inlet after midnight and a local doctor had announced the death of the boy. Another member of the gang who had gone for King’s aid had to be rescued too.

Garda said that the death of Mr King was very shocking and tragic. Head of Student Affairs, MTU Dr. Dan Collins said that the news of King’s death had shook everyone’s heart at MTU and their thoughts will be with his family in this difficult times.
