Urgent warning issued over Marks & Spencer chocolate bars sold in Irish stores

An urgent warning has been issued for a batch of chocolate bars sold in Irish stores.

The Food Safety Authority has issued a warning to consumers over undeclared milk being present in the chocolate sold at Marks & Spencer.

The affected batch is labeled M&S Food Belgian Dark Chocolate bar, pack size 180g, with a best-before date of 09/11/2023. 

FSAI’s notice states: “The above batch of M&S Food Belgian Dark Chocolate bar may contain milk which is not declared in the list of ingredients. This may make the batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of milk.”
