Winter approaches; Dr. Holohan warns of possible Covid spread as 1,586 cases confirmed today

The HSE has confirmed further 1,586 Covid cases in Ireland today. The cases were dropping to 1,000 recently and today it shows the highest number of cases this week.

According to the latest report, there are 298 patients being treated at the hospitals due to Covid and 56 of them are in ICUs.

As the country is reaching winter season, the Public Health officials have warned about taking extra care to prevent Covid and advised to reduce indoor gatherings. People should continue wearing masks at public spaces and transports, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tony Holohan tweeted. He also urged everyone who has not received a vaccine to avail it soon.
