Woman dies from injuries sustained in south Dublin house fire

A woman has sadly died due to her burn injuries from the house fire.

Early on Thursday morning, the emergency services responded to a fire in the Clonskeagh neighborhood of south Dublin. It is understood that the gardai do not currently suspect any wrongdoing.

The woman was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital, where she succumbed to her wounds later. The incident did not result in any additional injuries, according to the gardai.

A spokeswoman said yesterday: “Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of a fire at a residence in the Clonskeagh area of Dublin 14 in the early hours of this morning, Thursday, 3rd November 2022. A woman, aged in her 60s, was later taken to St Vincent’s Hospital, where she is currently in a critical condition. “No other injuries were reported. A technical examination of the scene is taking place today.”
