A motorcyclist in his 20s has died following a road traffic collision in Galway city.
The incident happened on Monday at 7.30pm on Bóthar na dTreabh.
The man, who was driving a motorcycle, pronounced dead at the scene.
The site of the crash remains closed for a garda forensic examination and local diversions will remain in place until the morning.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Bóthar na dTreabh area of Galway City at the time of the collision are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
