A data leak from Facebook may affect 1.5 million people in Ireland. Details including names, email id, phone numbers, locations etc could now be extracted from a public domain.
The statement from Data Protection Commission says that the data leak had affected almost 533 million people all over the world. They had started investigation on who and how these datas are stolen.
The people are in a state of shock and they fear their data in WhatsApp and Instagram may also get hacked as Facebook owns these. Experts said that the data from WhatsApp couldnt be hacked because the chats are end-to-end encrypted.
