A new face for Dalymount Park as Dublin City Council plans to rejuvenate the park by spending €918,750

Dublin City Council had signed an agreement with Department of tourism, culture, arts, Sport, Gaeltacht and Media in redeveloping the Dalymount park. The Large Scale Sports Infrastructure Fund is used and a sum of €918,750 will be taken for the designing and construction purposes.

An architect led integrated design team is about to be fixed for working on preliminary designs. The Shelbourne FC, Bohemian FC and North Dublin Community who are the stakeholders will also take part in the process.

The proposed plan is to build a bowl stadium i.e, a four side enclosed stadium of 6000 capacity which comes under UEFA category 3 stadium. New stands will be build on North East West and South with the West stand containing meeting rooms, club offices and hospitality spaces.

Dalymount park is a major attraction of the capital city which plays an important role in the regeneration and enhancement of public domain and also adds to the sporting infrastructure and adds to the economic well-being of the State.
