A progress in Broadband rollout by NBI despite the challenges posed by Covid 19

Despite the Covid 19 pandemic challenges the National Broadband Ireland had revealed that the national broadband rollout had been on a path of progress. Their spokesperson told that people were in need of high-speed internet access and the company’s main focus was to deliver this goal.

NBI had connected 164 broadband connection points nationwide with internal and external broadband access. They provide free network access at sport clubs, tourist sites and community centres. The rollout of high speed broadband in Co Laois is between 25% and 50% behind the schedule. There are almost 12,510 premises in Laois with no access to high speed broadband.
