Aldi launches cost of living website to assist struggling customers

Aldi has released information on its new cost of living budgeting website to help struggling customers.

Customers can now find budgeting tips, cheap recipes, and money-saving Special Buys on the “Incredible Savings” webpage.

The website will also highlight Aldi’s most recent shopping deals to allay fears about rising living costs.

An Aldi poll from January served as the trigger for the new advise. According to the research, financial challenges were experienced by 77% of customers as a result of rising costs.

Aldi Ireland’s Group Buying Director John Curtin said: “The aim of this new hub is to provide customers with tips and information to keep costs low, as well as inspiration for ways to make budgets stretch further. We know that the times ahead will be challenging, but we’re here to help people always find the lowest prices when they shop with us.”

By recently partnering with the food surplus app Too Good to Go, the grocer also made history.

The first store in Ireland to take part in the programme that gives people leftover food is Aldi.

Shoppers will be able to purchase food in “Surprise Bags” for just €3.99 during their visit to the store. The policy blends cost-effectiveness with a focus on reducing food waste.
