Around 1,000 community pharmacists will begin administering covid vaccine doses.

Pharmacies across Ireland will receive deliveries of a quantity of 50 one shot Janssen vaccines which can be administered to those over 50 years of age.Pharmacists will begin to receive vaccine deliveries from tomorrow.

The roll-out of the Covid-19 vaccination programme enters a new phase next week, when around 1,000 community pharmacists will begin administering vaccine doses.Pharmacists will be administering the Janssen single-dose vaccine to people aged 50 and over who have not been vaccinated yet.

The initial commitment is the distribution of 60,000 vaccines to participating pharmacists.To avail of one of these vaccines contact your local pharmacist to arrange an appointment.
