Clonemal “St. Patrick’s Day”, Ireland Indian community win the parade.

One of the highlights of the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Clonmel was the colourful entry from the local Indian community. The Indian community was active in the parade with various art events held on the occasion of St. Patrick’s Day. It not only won the top entry but delighted the crowds along the route of the parade for its wonderful colour and vitality.

The indians lined up for the parade under the Tipp-Indian community led by Sajan, Dia, and Nitin.

Adding to the colorful festivities there was a variety of art shows from different communities including a vintage car rally, a veteran army exhibition, a variety of tabloids, band fairs, a parade of firefighters, a rally of giant trucks.

The Indians who took part in this year’s parade also proudly won second place in the Clonemal County Council.

In the previous (2019) Parade, the Indian expatriate community had won first place. St. Patrick’s Day is now celebrated after a two-year pause in festivities due to the coronavirus.
