The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been notified of 3,342 PCR-confirmed cases of COVID-19.
In addition, on Tuesday 1 March, 4,352 people registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal.
It brings the day’s cases to a combined total of 7,694.
As of 8am today, 653 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of whom 46 are in ICU.
