The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has been notified of 982 PCR-confirmed cases of COVID-19. In addition, on Tuesday 26 April, 1,325 people registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal.
This leads to a combined total of 2,307 new cases of Covid-19 being reported today.
As of 8 am today, 435 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of whom 38 are in ICU.
