The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been notified of 2,845 PCR-confirmed cases of COVID-19. In addition, on Thursday 7 April, 3,038 people registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal.
It brings the combined total of Covid-19 cases reported today to 5,883.
As of 8 am today, 1,182 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of whom 58 are in ICU.
