The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been notified of 2,743 PCR-confirmed cases of COVID-19.
In addition, on Monday 4 April, 4,990 people registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal.
This leads to a total of 7,733 new cases of Covid-19 being reported in Ireland today.
As of 8 am today, 1,360 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of whom 54 are in ICU.
