No VISA applications will be accepted by the Irish Government till May 5 as the Covid 19 special VISA rules are extended

The Department of Justice has made new arrangements on Visa rules in the Covid 19 pandemic situations. Minister for Justice Helen McEntee had signed an order imposing these visa requirements.

The Department of Justice had took the decision to stop accepting new visa requests with certain exceptions. This came into effect from the close of business in 29 January 2021 and applies to all countries.

In order to tackle the Covid 19 pandemic, certain restrictions on travel were practiced by the government. Travel is restricted and government advise to postpone travels which are not so urgent. As per the updated rules on visa applications by the Ministry of Justice, these preventive measures and the decision to cease accepting new visa applications have been extended till 5th May 2021 and more reviews will be done with the help of relevant authorities.
