Female pedestrian dies following horror crash with motorcycle in Dublin

Following a horrifying motorcycle accident in Dublin on Wednesday, a female pedestrian has passed away.

According to the Garda, the incident took place at the Beresford Place/Eden Quay junction on Wednesday at around 10:40 am.

After the pedestrian and the motorcyclist collided, emergency personnel and garda were called to the scene.

A woman in her early 60s who had suffered serious injuries was transported to the nearby Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for medical attention.

Gardaí said she died on Friday.

The driver of the motorcycle was not injured and did not require medical treatment.

Gardaí at Store Street are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

They are also appealing to road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) from the scene of the collision to make it this available to them.
