Gardaí appeal for Cork hit-and-run witnesses after boy injured

Gardaí in Cork city have asked for witnesses after a collision on Blarney Street injured a teenage boy.

The collision happened at around 6 pm on Monday 3 October, when a car struck the teenager, who was crossing the road near St Vincent’s GAA clubhouse.

The young man was taken to Cork University Hospital for emergency surgery but is said to be recovering.

The car failed to stay at the scene.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward, especially any road users who can prove camera footage.
