Gardaí have seized suspected cannabis plants and cannabis herb worth €150,000 Co Monaghan, on Monday. The search was part of the ongoing ‘Operation Tara’ where the officers from Carrickmacross Garda Station searched a house in Carrickmacross at 9pm last day.
A man in his late 20s was arrested at the scene and is being detained at Carrickmacross Garda Station under the Drugs Trafficking Act.
Operation Tara was launched in July to tackle illegal drug dealing across the State and have carried out many operations successfully so far.
