Indian origin Michelle Shochan achieved a stunning victory in her first match at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF).
Michelle, Ireland’s U17 badminton player, defeated Varsha Kumar of Team England 22-20 24-22 21-15.
The European Olympic Committee owns the unique rights to the European Youth Olympic Festival, which is a part of the EOC. EYOF is the first premier multisport competition in Europe for young athletes between the ages of 14 and 18. In odd-numbered years, there are two editions—winter and summer—that occur in two-year cycles. The IOC serves as the EYOF’s patron.
