Irish Government Plans to Bring People to Rural Areas by Boosting Remote Working Spaces

An idea to turn vacant spaces in rural areas to working hubs is about to implement by the Irish Government. The high number of people living in the cities may be influenced by the concentration of businesses and enterprises in the cities. The idea to make more enterprises in rural or remote areas will attract people to the village areas of the country.

The Covid 19 pandemic has resulted in the shutdown of many small scale industries or enterprises. As a result many spaces have been vacated by the owners to withstand in the harsh conditions. The government tries to revitalize the small scale sectors and bring modernization to the rural parts of the country.

The five year rural development policy is also an idea in the minds of the authorities. The local authorities will look after the funding of converting vacant spaces into potential workspaces and tax incentives and grants will be provided from ministerial levels to encourage people who shift to rural spaces.
