The famous travel publication, Lonely planet ranks Keem Bay beach at No: 18 among the 20 most beautiful beaches in Europe. Even if the beach couldn’t break into the top 10 or 15, The Lonely Planet showered praises upon it.
The Lonely Planet comes forward with the best beaches categories as these are very highly preferred by the travelling community as well as the local folk. Beaches entertains us with the wind lashed shores and beautiful sights of the diving aqua life.
The Keem Bay beach, popularly known as the Mayo Beach is located in the west of Achill Island in County of Mayo. It is one of the most picturesque beaches in the whole of Europe. The half moon shaped coast, pampered by the calm weather of Irishness and constantly flushed by the heavy storms, provides a very soothing atmosphere and scenic beauty to the tourists.
The Lonely Planet chose the Haukland Beach of Norway as the best beach in Europe.
