LDA Opens New Applications for 600 Cost-Rental Homes in Dublin

The Land Development Agency (LDA) has announced the opening of applications for the first phase of more than 600 cost-rental homes in Dublin. The first 229 apartments are located at Cooper Square in Seven Mills, Dublin 22, and include one-, two- and three-bedroom units.

Applications open on Monday at 12 noon and must be submitted through the LDA website. Cost-rental housing offers long-term, secure tenancies at rents at least 25% below market rates, aimed at people who don’t qualify for other state supports but find private rents unaffordable.

Monthly rents at Cooper Square will start at €1,350 for a one-bedroom apartment, €1,500 for a two-bedroom, and €1,790 for a three-bedroom. Full details on eligibility, application requirements and occupancy limits are available on the LDA website.

Additional phases of applications will be released in the coming months, with updates also provided online.

LDA Chief Executive John Coleman said the agency is proud to deliver more affordable homes in Dublin, noting that the LDA has now completed over 2,200 cost-rental apartments. He said these new, A-rated homes offer secure, below-market rents in a well-connected location and thanked Cairn for delivering the project to a high standard.
