Proposing on St Patrick’s day in the middle of the parade- Proposal goals
Amidst the celebrations in the streets during the St Patrick’s day parade- a man proposing to his girlfriend was a beautiful moment to witness. That too with a Bollywood song playing in the background surrounded by their friends and onlookers enjoying the parade, was a major aww moment.
Lorenzo, proposed to his girlfriend of 2 years, Manasi Nadkarni, on St Patrick’s day in between their dance routine at the St Patrick’s day parade.
Manasi and Lorenzo’s beautiful love story started 2 years back when they met in Cork, via the online dating app, Tinder. Lorenzo, from the beautiful town of Sicily, Italy hadn’t expected to meet his soulmate in Ireland. But meeting each other enhanced their life beautifully.
Lorenzo works at OGMA (Ocean and General Maritime Agency), Cork while Manasi is a research assistant at APC Microbiome Cork. Even though they didn’t expect much out of the first date, they felt a connection with each other. Similar thoughts and beliefs, passionate about arts and books. Both of them share the love of dancing and traveling.
And lo and behold they are engaged now.
Manasi is a Kathak dancer as well and teaches at KathakinCork. Lorenzo is passionate about cooking and baking. He creates delicious Italian cuisines and can be found at sicilian_baker_cork.
The beautiful proposal happened at St. Patrick’s street where Manasi was performing as part of the Aatma Dance Troupe. ‘Lorenzo is very romantic and enjoys setting up beautiful dates’, says Manasi. ‘But this was a complete surprise to me.’
Manasi came in 2019 to study Public health and being a talented Kathak dancer, has performed on numerous stages in Ireland. Manasi has a performance lined up for Africa day as a part of the Aatma Indian Dance Troupe.
