Early this morning, a man in his 20s died in a single-car collision.
At College Green in Thurles, County Tipperary, the accident happened about 3.15 am.
Paramedics treated the man on the spot after Garda and emergency personnel arrived, but he was later declared dead.
Since then, his remains has been transported to University Hospital Limerick’s mortuary. In due course, a post-mortem will be performed.
In a statement gardai said: “There were two other people in the car at the time but no other injuries have been reported.
“A technical examination of the scene is underway by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.”
