A man in his 60s has died following a fatal accident at a farm in Galway.
Gardaí said that it was a fatal workplace accident at a farm.
The incident took place on Tuesday in the Derren area of Gort in Co Galway.
“At approximately 7.10 pm, the body of a man aged in his 60’s was located on a farm in the area” Gardai said.
The man’s body was taken to University Hospital Galway, where a post-mortem examination is due to take place.
The Health and Safety Authority has been notified and is carrying out an investigation.
