Following an assault in Dublin yesterday night, a man in his 40s was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
On Sunday night at 10:40 p.m. in Mountjoy, Dublin 1, the Charles Street Great area, Gardai were sent to the scene of the incident. A man in his 40s was carried with critical wounds to Mater Misericordiae University Hospital.
For a technical inspection, Gardai have preserved the scene. Gardai said investigations are underway and no one has been arrested.
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: “Gardaí are investigating an assault that occurred at approximately 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, 2023, in the Charles Street Great area of Mountjoy, Dublin 1. A man in his 40s was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital with serious injuries.” “The scene is currently preserved for technical examination. Investigations are ongoing”.
