Migrant Rights Centre Ireland invites applicants for the post of Caseworker

MRCI invites Caseworkers in Anti Trafficking and Labour Exploitation. MCRI is an organisation aimed at promoting justice, equality and empowerment for migrants and their families. They are looking for people who are highly interested to carryout this exciting role.

People who are confident enough to tackle injustice and exploitation against people in harsh conditions are invited. The tasks to be fulfilled are

  • Provide support to people who are subjected to trafficking and exploitation.
  • Act accordingly to the situation and provide and provide information for people in different areas like social welfare, emoloyment, immigration related matters, housing etc.
  • Understand the reality in human trafficking cases and prepare reports for authorities.
  • Support victims of exploitation by drafting submissions, legal help, monitoring further improvements etc.
  • Keep contact with legal partners of MRCI for legal supports in needed cases.
  • Provide personal contributions in internal and case work meetings.
  • Upload data into the Case Management System to track cases.

The essential factors needed for the applicants are

  • Degree or equivalent in law, human rights social policy, legal training etc.
  • Experience in dealing with problems of vulnerable people.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  • Knowledge of data protection laws and GDPR.

Salary ranges from €34800 to €38800, depending on experience.

Location: Dublin and remote areas

Job commences on May 2021

4 working days in a week i.e 28 hours and extra off office hours
