National Driving License Service centres reopens as driving tests resumes in Ireland

The National Driver License Service (NDLS) centres will be reopened from May 17th as driving tests and lessons will be resumed from May 10th onwards. The Department of Transport are willing to carryout driving tests for all eligible applicants who had been waiting for long.

Information on further driving tests will be announced after proper discussions by the Road Safety Authority and Department of Transport. The NDLS centres will accept essential workers only till May 17th and it will be opened for all the next day onwards. Essential Driver Training (EDT) sessions will continue for people who had not completed training.

Initial Basic Training (IBT) programme asks all learner motorcyclists to complete their practice before the driving test. More information on lifting the restrictions and re-commencing the services will be announced by the Department of Transport, RSA, Department of Health and other departments. When these plans are finalized, the information will be posted on the RSA website.
