New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day opening times for Tesco, Lidl, Aldi, Dunnes, and Supervalu

After Christmas, supermarkets all over Dublin will be working nonstop to refill shelves with essentials.

Additionally, knowing the opening hours is usually helpful to prevent disappointment, even though New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day may not be the busiest days for grocery shopping.

Although this year’s New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are on a Saturday and Sunday, there will still be significant adjustments made to the regular weekend opening timings.

The following is a list of the opening hours for the busiest supermarkets on both days:

Aldi

Aldi are open from 9am to 7pm on New Year’s Eve and are closed on New Year’s Day.

Lidl

Lidl are operating on a slightly similar schedule to rivals Aldi, but are open a bit earlier on New Year’s Eve from 8am and are closed at 7pm. However, all Lidl stores will also be closed on the 1st of January.

Dunnes Stores
