In an incident at a farm in Co Laois yesterday, a woman in her 60s tragically died.
Gardaí have confirmed the incident happened on Monday, with emergency services being rushed to the scene.
The woman was fatally injured in the workplace incident at the farm, which was located in the Portlaoise area, and was pronounced dead at the scene on Monday evening.
Gardaí are compiling an investigation file which will be sent to the coroner ahead of an inquest and also the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) will also carry out a probe.
