Sakura Blossoms – Spring Arrives In Style

Warmer temperatures, sunny days, flowers blooming everywhere. The season of spring has arrived with a flourish.

The season of spring is here in Ireland with the beautiful daffodils and cherry blossoms blooming everywhere.

Daffodils

Daffodils, which had started blooming in early February encompassed Ireland with their beautiful and vibrant yellow colors.

The famous poet, William Wordsworth had written,

“When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.”

Cherry Blossoms / Sakura

Cherry blossoms are catching up as well in the race to make Ireland more beautiful. In Japanese, these beautiful cherry blossoms are called Sakura, and once bloomed they last for around 2 weeks under ideal weather conditions.

While some of the cherry blossoms have bloomed already, the others are still budding in the neighborhoods.
