Two bodies recovered from Clare rivers in separate incidents

The two bodies that were found in the Co. Clare rivers yesterday after separate incidents have been confirmed by the garda.

A man who has been missing in Ennis since November 10 is said to be among the bodies.

His body was located and recovered from the River Fergus around 1 pm.

Since the alarm was first raised, volunteers with Civil Defence have been searching the river every day.

The second body is that of another man who is believed to have fallen into the river in Newmarket on Fergus overnight.

His body was recovered shortly after 2 pm Yesterday.

The bodies of the two men have been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick where post-mortems will be carried out.
