Urgent travel warning for Irish tourists as strikes reported across Europe this bank holiday weekend

Irish travellers who may go during the June bank holiday weekend have been warned of many strikes taking place around Europe.

In order to avoid serious interruptions to their trip plans, sunseekers have been advised to keep an eye on local news in the region they will be visiting. Over a massive 4 days, from Friday to Monday, 220,000 travellers are anticipated to leave Dublin Airport.

Today, train drivers are on strike in the UK, which will have an impact on a number of rail services.

This Sunday, June 4, Italian baggage handlers will go on strike. Moreover, Spanish pilots engaged in industrial action in a disagreement with the Spanish Ministry of Transport, Mobility, and Urban Agency over a “minimum services” rule that mandates that 90% of planned flights must proceed despite labour unrest.

Dublin Airport in Ireland has issued a warning to travellers, stating that there is unprecedented demand for parking there. Prior to their travel, people are asked to reserve spots.

Without an established parking reservation, individuals are advised to consider taking public transportation, hiring a cab, or having a friend or family drop them off at the airport.
