Waterford Indian Community Enjoys Holi Celebrations

Waterford brightens with Holi celebrations held by the Indian community.

The Waterford Indian Community celebrated the most vibrant Indian festival, Holi, on 26th March 2022.

It’s after two long years of pandemic that Holi celebrations are being held in Ireland. The sun was shining all day to add to the excitement of everyone present.

Holi, the spring festival of colors, is not just a festival. It’s a celebration of joy, happiness, and togetherness.

The Holi celebrations were held at the Tramore GAA club. The celebration started with a cultural program followed by fun activities and games. No matter what age you were, it was game time for everyone. It was with great spirit and enthusiasm everyone participated in all activities. To add extra flavor to the Holi celebrations there was a variety of delicious and mouth-watering Indian snacks. The dance floor was crowded with enthusiastic dancers dancing to the tune of Bollywood songs selected by the DJ.

Holi is not complete without the fun of playing with colors. Everyone was covered in various shades of green, blue, yellow, red, and pink colors. The sky and ground turned colorful filling every heart with laughter, giggles, excitement, and fun.

It was a day to remember forever for everyone who was a part of this Holi celebration.
