The Irish Government had made it clear that the government’s official policy on the vaccine priority list will not change. Health minister Stephen Donelly had earlier commented that the department is planning to vaccinate people aged 18-30 who are in constant contact with the society.
Minister Donelly states his position right with the statistics which show that 420 cases were reported Saturday and 74 percent among them are under 45 years of age and the median of all age groups is 32 years. HSE officials had said earlier that they might rethink their vaccination policy if the government urges them to do so.
