A new tip jar feature for sending and receiving money has been introduced by Twitter to support others on the platform. The feature is initially available for accounts on the English speaking version of the app. A number of online paying platforms will be incorporated and this tool will be provided for journalists, content creators experts and non profit organisations initially.
A new icon could be seen on the profile, which shows the payment service available for sending money. No commission will be claimed from the transactions through Twitter and expects to expand the feature to more accounts and more languages.
The Twitter spokesperson said that this initiative will increase their support and this will remain a test as of now and will be expanded with more features soon.
