Almost another 9,000 people availed dose 1 Covid vaccine through the Walk-In Vaccination centres this weekend, confirmed HSE Chief executive officer Paul Reid. Among them two thirds had not previously registered with HSE, Reid said on Twitter. He also said the country is in the final leg of vaccination programme.
Last weekend, more than 30,000 people had taken Covid vaccine through Walk-In centres. With the enormous support from the public, HSE was setting up new centres in the consecutive weekend too.
Meanwhile vaccination for 12-15 age group is about to start this weekend according to National Immunisation Office director Lucy Jessop. Registration for this cohort will start on Thursday, she said in RTE radio’s Morning Ireland programme. Parental consent will be needed for this age group unlike other age groups and she advised the parents to read the details available on the HSE’s website.
