A 19-year-old man has died following a car accident in Galway, police have confirmed. The fatal crash occurred near the town of Loughrea in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The accident happened on the N65 at Moyleen at around 2.20 am. According to An Garda Síochána, the vehicle lost control and crashed. The teenager, who was a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been taken to Portiuncula Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
The driver and two other passengers were injured in the crash and were taken to University Hospital Galway for specialist treatment. Hospital authorities said their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The road remains closed as Garda forensic teams carry out a technical examination of the scene. Gardaí have appealed to anyone who was travelling in the area at the time, or who may have dashcam footage, to come forward.
