A 20-year-old man has succumbed to his injuries following a fatal assault in a Tallaght estate in the wee hours of Friday morning, RTE reported,
The man was found with stab wounds in the Drumcairn Estate at 4am and was taken to Tallaght University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Gardai have launched a murder investigation and arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with the incident.
Gardai are also appealing for any witnesses, particularly anyone in the Drumcairn Estate area between 3am and 4am.
