Cigarettes and tobacco worth around €1.36 million were seized during a series of raids in Dublin’s Tallaght area.
The search operation was carried out yesterday morning and involved officers from the Tallaght Drug Divisional Unit and the Garda Dog Unit.
Following the searches, the seized items were later handed over to staff from Revenue’s Custom Services.
Gardaí said that the cigarettes seized represent a potential loss to Revenue of more than €1m.
No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.
