Ireland Malayalam Mission Entrance Festival Set For October 14th In Blackrock, Dublin

The inaugural festival of the Malayalam Mission Ireland-Blackrock region, organized by the Syro Malabar Sabha Community Blackrock Committee, is scheduled to take place on October 14th in Blackrock, Dublin. The induction ceremony was recently held at the Newtown Park Pastoral Center under the guidance of the St. Joseph SMCC Blackrock Committee.

This festival warmly welcomes children who are eager to learn Malayalam with songs, poetry, and art programs that beautifully capture the essence of Kerala’s culture. Distinguished guests, including Malayalam Mission Director and renowned poet Murugan Kattakkada, Syro Malabar Sabha Ireland National Coordinator Rev. Fr. Joseph Mathew Oliakkattil, as well as prominent figures from politics and society, are expected to participate in this grand entrance ceremony.

The center, registered under the Department of Culture, Government of Kerala, boasts more than 30 students and 11 well-trained teachers dedicated to imparting the Malayalam language and culture to the children of non-resident Malayalis. After one year of teaching Malayalam, teachers will receive a ‘Government Identity Card’ from the Kerala Government.

The curriculum includes four ten-year courses named Kanikonna, Suryakanti, Ambal, and Neelakurinji, with the added benefit of distributing government-issued language certificates.

If you or anyone you know is interested in learning Malayalam, there will still be opportunities available. For more information, please contact Anish at 0892606282, Binu (Secretary) at 0870558898, and CB at 0894433676. Don’t miss out on this enriching cultural experience!
