A legal case has been filed against AstraZeneca vaccine by the European Commission on violating the contractual agreements. Minister for Health Stephen Donelly said that he had joined Ireland among the parties against AstraZeneca. The vaccine providers have failed to carry out the agreements for months of April May and June.
Doctors had adviced people below 60 not to use the AstraZeneca vaccine. The EMA had adviced the NIAC to promote the use of Johnson and Johnson vaccine through government sources. Many people above 70 have had their first dose of vaccine and almost 95% among them will receive their second dose by next week.
Ireland will be getting almost 940,000 vaccines in April including the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. Health Minister said that he had discussed with Chief Medical Officer on including India into the red-list. The government has to be clear and exact on the vaccination status and roll out priority list
