Sting and Madness have both announced Dublin gigs for this summer.
On June 28, 2023, Sting will perform a special “My Songs” concert at Malahide Castle in Dublin. This Friday at 9 am, Ticketmaster will begin selling tickets starting at €69.90 (plus booking fee).
Sting’s greatest hits, both solo and with The Police, are collected in My Songs.
Following a six-night residency at the London Palladium that was completely sold out, The Times hailed My Songs as “a masterclass” and stated that Sting “remains an undeniably skilled performer with a gold-plated back catalogue.”
A musical journey taking in hits like ‘Fields of Gold’, ‘Shape of my Heart’, ‘Roxanne’ and ‘Demolition Man’, the concert was described as “a rare treat” by The Telegraph and saw Sting praised as “near peerless” by The Guardian with “sublime pop alchemy”. Fans can also expect to hear ‘Englishman In New York,’ ‘Every Breath You Take,’ ‘Roxanne,’ ‘Message In A Bottle’ and many more.
Sting will be accompanied by an electric rock band while on tour. At the Dublin performance, Blondie will be a special guest.
Madness has announced its Irish return with a concert at Trinity College Dublin’s Summer Series on Saturday, July 1, 2023.
Tickets priced €49.90 inclusive go on sale this Friday, November 18th at 9 am via Ticketmaster.
