Aer Lingus has said the connection issue that had an impact on flights has now been resolved, and the airline is taking steps to bring all of its systems back online.
It said that 51 flights, mostly between Dublin and locations in Europe and the United Kingdom, had to be cancelled yesterday.
Customers have been severely inconvenienced as a result of Aer Lingus’ website, check-in, and boarding systems being down, and the airline extends its “sincere apologies” to them.
According to the airline, a UK network provider’s connection services were disrupted, leading to this system outage.
“Aer Lingus advises customers that its operations for tomorrow are planned to operate as normal. Customers are advised to come to the airports at the normal time for their scheduled flight,” the airline said in a statement.
DAA has announced it will deploy additional staff in Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport to facilitate Aer Lingus passengers departing from Saturday night and Sunday as the airline resumes flight operations.
