The AMC team emerged as champions in the Pankalees Cricket Tournament held on May 18 at Corkagh Park Cricket Ground. They secured a thrilling victory against the formidable LCC team by 24 runs in the final match.
Sponsored by Sheela Palace Restaurant, the winners received a trophy and a cash prize of €501. The runners-up, LCC, were also awarded a trophy and a cash prize of €301.
The tournament saw fierce competition among the best 12 teams from Ireland, providing cricket fans with numerous exciting moments and close finishes.
Jithin Ram, the owner of Sheela Palace Restaurant and a Green Party local election candidate in Lucan, presented the awards. Jibran from LCC was named Player of the Tournament, while Parag of Gully Cricket received the Best Batter award. Anand from Waterford Tigers Cricket Club was honored as the Best Bowler.
AMC’s Vijay was recognized for his outstanding performance in the final.
