100 new IT jobs have been announced by Bank of Ireland.
Engineers for cloud platforms, cybersecurity experts, engineers for data infrastructure, specialised project managers, and business analysts are among the positions.
The new hires will be a part of Bank of Ireland’s technology and customer solutions unit.
The company claims that the larger workforce, which comes after the hiring of 230 comparable IT workers since 2021, will help accelerate a number of digital projects even more.
According to the corporation, the increased personnel will aid in accelerating a number of digital projects. This expansion comes after 230 comparable tech specialists were hired since 2021.
New hires will work on creating innovative customer features for digital channels, executing the company’s cloud strategy, and protecting clients from new cyber threats.
“We have some exciting digital projects underway across the Group, and we’re looking for talented specialists who want to drive improvements in the banking experience for millions of customers,” said Eimear Harty, HR Director, Group Technology & Customer Solutions at Bank of Ireland
“Banking is changing fast, it’s exciting, and these new positions will be at the forefront of advances in the sector,” Ms Harty said.
Simon Coveney, the minister for enterprise, trade, and employment, welcomed the job announcement.
“These are high value tech jobs and I am glad that Ireland has the talent and demand for this type of expansion,” Mr Coveney said.
According to Bank of Ireland, candidates will be able to work from a network of 13 remote working hubs as well as a combination of their homes and main offices.
